OUR PURPOSE

Why We Gather

The Coastal Bend Jamboree is an annual celebration of recovery hosted by the Coastal Bend Intergroup Association of Alcoholics Anonymous. Each year it draws members of A.A., Al-Anon, and A.C.O.A. from across Texas and around the country to Corpus Christi for a weekend of speaker meetings, fellowship, and fun.

Our purpose is simple: to carry the message of hope to the alcoholic who still suffers, and to strengthen the fellowship that keeps us sober one day at a time. Whether you have decades of sobriety or you’re walking into your very first meeting, there is a seat for you here.

THE 2027 THEME

“The Fellowship of the Spirit”

This year’s theme is drawn from the chapter “A Vision for You” in the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous. It speaks to what happens when we stop trying to do it alone — the fellowship of the Spirit that carries us where willpower cannot.

Our logo captures it: the recovery triangle of Unity, Service, and Recovery, wrapped in the Texas flag and rising into a coastal sunrise, with shorebirds taking flight over the bay.

What to Expect

A warm, easygoing weekend. Here’s how it works.

Register & Get Your Badge

Pre-register online or check in at the 3rd-floor lobby. Your name badge is your pass to all speaker events and the Silent Auction.

Come and Go

Attend the meetings and events that speak to you. Meals are on your own, so there’s plenty of time to explore the city.

Bring a Friend or Family

Al-Anon and A.C.O.A. programs run all weekend, and Corpus Christi is a great destination for the whole family.

All meetings are held in accordance with the Twelve Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous. A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization, or institution. This event is organized by the Coastal Bend Intergroup Association to share the message of recovery.
